Introduction
At The Trip India, we provide flexible booking options for travelers while protecting the interests of our vendors. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and modifications are handled on our platform.
Note: Each booking is directly between the User and the Vendor. The Trip India acts as a facilitator and does not directly provide travel services.
User Cancellation Guidelines
Users can request cancellation through:
  • Their account dashboard
  • Contacting the Vendor directly (details in booking confirmation)
  • Emailing support@thetripindia.com
Refunds depend on the Vendor’s cancellation policy and may include partial refunds or non-refundable fees. Refund processing may take 5–10 business days depending on the payment method.
Vendor Cancellation Guidelines
Vendors must clearly specify:
  • Cancellation timelines (e.g., Free cancellation up to 7 days before travel)
  • Refund percentages based on cancellation date
  • Any non-refundable service fees
Vendors are responsible for following their policies accurately. Misrepresentation may result in listing suspension or other penalties.
Trip India’s Role
Trip India facilitates communication between Users and Vendors and may assist in refund processing if payments were made through our platform. We do not guarantee refunds; final approval is determined by the Vendor’s policy.
The Trip India reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings in exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, operational issues). Users and Vendors will be notified immediately.
Non-Refundable Bookings
Some bookings, including promotions, holiday packages, or pre-paid vendor offers, may be non-refundable. Users should check booking details carefully before payment.
Modifications & Rescheduling
Users may request changes to booking dates or services directly with the Vendor. Any extra charges due to rescheduling are handled according to the Vendor’s terms. Trip India assists in communicating modification requests but is not responsible for additional fees.
Disputes
Users and Vendors are encouraged to resolve disputes directly. Trip India may mediate but cannot enforce refund decisions. Legal remedies are subject to Indian laws and jurisdiction of Ernakulam, Kerala.
