Courtallam Waterfalls & Tirunelveli
Courtallam — Kutralam to the locals — is where the south comes to stand under falling water. Nine separate falls drop off the Western Ghats here, several of them right beside the road, and the season that matters is the south-west monsoon from June to September. Between the falls, the route takes in the Nellaiappar temple and the Tamiraparani river at Tirunelveli, and the old Pandya country around it.
