  • Rain protection; the Garhwal monsoon is heavy from late June
  • Sturdy shoes for the Kedarnath and Tungnath walks
  • Something to cover your head and shoulders for the temples and gurdwaras

Important notes

A single day, returning the same evening.,Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath are closed for roughly six months from November; the Kedarnath walk is 16 km each way and can be done by pony or helicopter instead.
